Korner is a rebrand of Caffè Astoria, a long-established café in Maribor, Slovenia, located on a prime city corner since 1929. The
name comes from the colloquial Slovene word for "corner," making it
feel local, familiar, and approachable. Despite its strong heritage
and excellent location, the original branding felt outdated
rather than timeless.
The concept is Heart of the City — a place where people naturally meet, where the social pulse of Maribor has always been. The rebrand bridges heritage and modernity, positioning Korner as a central gathering spot for a new generation without losing what made it worth returning to in the first place.
